Senior Alyssa Brewer of California High in San Ramon CA placed third in the girls 1,600 in 5:04.29 and then anchored her team from sixth to second in the 4x400 relay with a 54.3-second anchor split to clock 4:03.63 at the 91st West Coast Relays at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium. Brewer will be seeking her third straight 800-meter state title at the same venue June 2.
