Started running at 8, during her running career she won 6 National Junior Olympic titles, 6 x state championships at Lincoln high school, was a 3 x Footlocker finalist (no NXN then), 2 x Junior World Cross Championships (Bilboa, Spain '93,  CapeTown '96), 6 x All-American at University of Oregon and then ran for Nike (Nike Farm Team).  Running personal bests of 4:18, 9:13, 15:53.  Still running in forest park a couple times a week.

Started volunteering with the cross country and track teams at Lincoln High School in 2017.
