Sydney Rome, a junior at Yorba Linda High in California, placed second in the Crestview League final as well as among all Century Conference competitors at Yorba Regional Park in Anaheim. Rome covered the 3-mile course in 17:15.6 to help Yorba Linda qualify for the CIF-Southern Section Division 3 prelims Nov. 13 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
