Senior Abbott Valentine of Hampden Academy in Maine placed second in the boys 5-kilometer silver race at the RunningLane Cross Country Championships at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Ala. Valentine clocked 14:55.82, moving up eight spots in the final mile to secure runner-up honors.
