Payton Godsey, a Northern Arizona-bound senior at Oaks Christian School in California, repeated as Marmonte League girls champion by covering the 3-mile layout at Agoura High in 17:08.62 to lead the Lions to the program's first league title since 2005 in the Frontier League with a 27-43 victory against Newbury Park High. Godsey became the first female athlete to secure back-to-back Marmonte League titles since Janiah Brown of Calabasas won in 2015 and 2016.
