Tori Franklin Wins Texas Relays Triple Jump and Becomes Second Best American Performer of All-TimeBy Adam Kopet Tori Franklin won the women's triple jump at the 91st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays Friday with a best jump of 47-6.25 (14.48m). The wind reading was a legal +1.0 m/s. That mark moves her up to second on the American all-time list behind Georgia senior Keturah Orji. Orji owns the American record at 48-3.25 (14.71m), which she set in the 2016 Olympic final where she finished fourth. Entering this weekend, Franklin had a personal best of 46-5.25 (14.15m) from the USATF Indoor Championships, held last month in Albuquerque, N.M. Her previous outdoor best of 46-0.25 (14.03m) was set at the 2017 IAAF World Outdoor Championships. More news |
