Grant Fisher Makes His Post-Collegiate Running Plans KnownBy Adam Kopet Grant Fisher has signed with Kimbia Athletics and will join the Bowerman Track Club, according to a press release. The 2017 NCAA champion at 5,000 meters outdoors and nine-time All American at Stanford will join his former teammate, Sean McGorty, in Portland and train under Bowerman Track Club coach Jerry Schumacher. Fisher also finished as an NCAA Championships (cross country, indoors and outdoors) runner-up four times and scored all four years in the 5,000 meters at the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championships. Before embarking on his collegiate career, Fisher had a successful prep career at Grand Blanc MI. He was a two-time Foot Locker Nationals champion and a sub-four miler, running 3:59.38. That still ranks him equal to fifth on the prep all-time performer list. Fisher holds personal bests of 7:42.62 for 3,000 meters and 13:29.52 for 5,000 meters. More news |
