Get Ready for 2023 XC with MySportsResults!Published by
By Ron Knapp, Owner and Editor The official start of the 2023 XC season in Connecticut on Thursday, August 24th is less than a week away and MySportsResults begins our 24th season helping coaches, athletes and fans get ready with news, photos, results, and records of our state teams and harriers. Our companion EZ Meet Services has already started a 17th season of quality and timely meet management services by keeping the best interest of the athletes in mind while making it easier for coaches, meet directors and timing services. This season, MSR is also providing promotional and results reporting services for the following meets among the several others scheduled in association with EZ Meet Services on Athletic.net: 42nd Stratton Brook XC Invitational 35th Going to the Sun XC Invitational 11th Winding Trails XC Invitational 41st Wickham Park XC Invitational CCC Cross Country Championships 30th CT Middle School State XC Championships
CIAC Again Using Athletic.net for XC Championship Registration A quick reminder to all state XC coaches this season that the CIAC will continue to use Athletic.net for entry registration for all state meet championships. MySportsResults is again working in conjunction with the CIAC, Northeast Timing and Athletic.net to ensure that all CIAC XC teams are assigned and invited in their Athletic.net season calendar to one of six boys or girls division championship meets. The CIAC and Northeast Timing will then use the Athletic.net Championship mode functions to promote the divisional team and individual qualifiers to the State Open Championships. Complete information is available at the CIAC XC Site in the CIAC XC Info Packet. Help Us with Preview of Your Individuals and Teams One of the tasks that Marty Ogden and I enjoy the most as the season starts is trying to predict the individuals and teams who will challenge for the division and state open championships at the end of this season. Our coverage will include girls and boys individuals and teams. Coaches can always help us by sending their team and individual outlook to us at both Marty Ogden at [email protected] and Ron Knapp at [email protected] before Saturday, August 26th. Check out if you or team get a nod by MySportsResults as we sort through the previous results and highlight who might be some of the top finishers at this fall’s State Open.
Marathon Sports CT HS Coaches 2023 XC Pre-Season Poll As we’ve done for the past 19 years MySportsResults.com has hosted and managed the Connecticut High School Coach's XC Poll. We are excited to once again host and manage the Marathon Sports Connecticut High School Coach's XC Poll for the 2023 season starting with a Pre-Season Poll that opens Tuesday, 8/22/2023, and closes at 8:00pm on Tuesday, 9/5/2023. Any Connecticut CIAC XC Coach can register to vote for the top ten girls and boys cross country teams this season on a periodic basis. MySportsResults.com will again host the poll submission and results that is powered by Marathon Sports with stores in Branford, Fairfield, Glastonbury and Old Saybrook. Any coach interested in participating in the polling this season needs to register as soon as possible using the 2023 CT XC Coaches Poll Sign-Up form. Coaches must provide a valid email address on the form to receive further emails about voting in the next poll. Coaches only need to sign-up once to participate in polling all season. Registered coaches will be notified by email when the special pre-season poll is opened for voting.
