High School Runner Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver
The driver of the SUV stopped several blocks away where she was taken into custody.

SHERMAN OAKS (KTLA) -- An 18-year-old driver has been arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run after a 16-year-old Notre Dame High School student was struck and killed while running with his Cross Country team in Sherman Oaks.

Conor Lynch was running on city streets around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday with teammates near Woodman Avenue and Addison Street.

This is definitely a sad and tragic story. And I'm not sure I totally agree with the felony hit & run charge and massive bail for the driver who did turn herself in immediately. An 18-year-old driver who just hit somebody may take a few blocks to process what just happened.
