[Women's Cross Country] Tech Women's Cross Country Runs At U-W ParksidePublished by
Somers, WI - Illinois Tech Cross Country Teams traveled to Somers, WI for the second race of the season. The Midwest Collegiate Open was hosted by University of Wisconsin-Parkside. The lady Hawks competed well, turning in some good performances. Courtney Rouse crossed the finish line first for IIT, in 36thplace. She was followed by two great performances turned in by Anne Crotteau, 45thand Sara Glade, in 61st, both setting lifetime best over the 5 km course. Greta Zola and April Wanagas rounded up the top 5. Illinois Tech finished 13thin a 16 team field as Edinboro University secured the first spot edging the host school, University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Chicago's own Northwestern University finished 3rdin a strong field loaded with almost all NCAA Division I & II programs.
